Self-serve username changes

In case you’ve been wanting to change your username on Weasyl, you can now do that without needing to e-mail support! It’s in the Preferences column of settings.

https://www.weasyl.com/control/username

This feature includes the benefit of keeping links to your old username working for as long as you want (limit one old username).

Also, for anyone who looks at these on the home page and had gotten used to a certain pace, don’t miss the update from February 8th.

Thank goodness, I've send TWO emails on name change requests and never got a response. Now I can do it at will without that.

Awesome! Thank you! Are the limited I would guess? I know some sites like GameJolt only let you change your username once a week, probably to save server load.

Hey hey, this is completely unrelated from username changes but I was wondering if you could nevertheless answer a few questions about the "Community" section at the bottom of the page? If no, that's ok, I'll hang on tight.
If yes, what plans do you have for it? It's got to do with the forum right? Maybe you're renovating it? 'Cause it ain't anywhere to be seen, and punching it into Google gives me a finished domain probe thingamajing error

nice! I remember changing my username a while back and I don't think i had to email support? though it was a long time ago so i don't remember XD I just remember bein like "NICE i dont have to purchase a new username or make a new account for this."
