Hello Matt. I joined a week ago because; I am sorry to say, but with all due respect; deviantART has been going downhill for quite a while now; and I needed a new place to spread my wings. I'm glad I found Weasyl; because it is much simpler to work with; and I am extremely fond of the character submission system. It is like it was made for me. :D It might take me a while to figure the site out completely; but it will be worth it. I wish you and your team the best of luck keeping Weasyl a wonderful community!

  Hey avva8! Thank you for giving the site a shot! Sorry to say we do not have emotes and have no plans on adding them in the near future. As far as featuring goes, I'm not certain what you mean. The best methods of attracting attention to other users is enabling the favorites bar on your page or taking/displaying collections of submissions made for you. If you mean more like displaying their icon as you can on DA, check out this page for how to do that.
  
  Also, I do have requests open, but I don't draw, so I guess it's a matter of what one would request.

The eggs should crack on right click as well. I never click thumbnails, I right click and open in new tab, or I might Ctrl Click on them to mass open tabs I want opened. Just giving a bit of input on the egg joke to make it more noticed. :P

Silly as it is, I too, will be sad to see the egg shaped thumbnails go. They're actually really cute, and a lot different than most art site thumbnails. Maybe that can be a thing? Let us choose thumbnail shapes. =D I don't know, just an idea.

I love this site so far, thank you (and the other people responsible) for all the work!

I don't know if it's okay to bring it up here but I'm not a big fan of how submission titles are below the previews now, it feels cluttered and I liked it much better how it used to be. Is it going to be a permanent thing or is there a hope of any changes? (And again, sorry if my question should be directed elsewhere, I don't use the forum and I noticed you post staff updates on the front page.)

I enjoyed the older version too, but the problems were that it made browsing more time-consuming for finding artists and titles, and it also made finding those things impossible on our mobile site. However, there is always hope for change. If you have any suggestions, feel free to let me know or add it to our public tracker here.

    I was thinking how to make it better while keeping the titles displayed and it might work better if each title is aligned by the centre of its preview image (instead of by the left side). Left side alignment makes it look like a weirdly chopped sentence (especially with long titles) while centred alignment might make it look more like a banner, which is what was so appealing about the previous layout. I don't know if it's physically possible though, I've never built sites so sorry if my suggestion is layman-ish. :)
