If you are still active on this site and watching my account, please comment and let me know! I've been using Facebook primarily, and DeviantART as a runner-up. I have new art that I can post here, but it appears that most of the feedback I receive is on Facebook. Facebook also appears to have the outreach i need. I like being a part of this community and art communities in general, but I need to be able to reach beyond that audience and get some fresh eyes on my artwork so I can continue to grow at an artist and understand what really catches peoples eye. (And of course, if you have any feedback you want to share about your own experience with social media and outreach - I'd love to hear it!)
Thanks for reading/commenting guys!
If you are on Facebook, please send me a friend request! i am more active there and i post art there beore i post it anywhere else. I'll also be much more likely to see your artwork if you post on Facebook as well :D
Woops, here's my FB: https://www.facebook.com/GreyScaleAndi/
Still here! I nearly never check facebook any more, and I'm pretty sure I've forgotten my password (only reason I still have access is persistent login, thanks Chrome). If I ever get logged out, I'm not sure I can be bothered to retrieve my password. Twitter on, the other hand, stays open in a pinned tab all day every day and I'm strangely super chatty. There are several artists of many types/genres/media/levels of fame I follow there, and there seems to be a pretty big community and following between artists and fans that I catch in retweets and hashtags. Really, any social media platform that has a decent active userbase (especially in your targeted demographic) is a good place to be. I would suggest looking into things like Hootsuite to manage all your accounts in one place and cross-post everywhere.
I'm still on here! Not a huge fan of Facebook personally-- the algorithms make it deliberately difficult to reach who you need to. But then again, when it came time for my Kickstarter, most of my pledges came from people reaching it via Facebook... so it seems to be a necessary evil, for the time being.

I still do just as regularly as I always have been, but I still check deviantArt as much as I can. I personally can't stand Facebook so I generally only ever take a look on that page maybe once every six months or so before disappearing again. I've found out of all of the platforms for connecting with fellow artists, Twitter has delivered better than most so far. I'm considering getting a completely new Facebook just for following and talking to artists though, so who knows! Maybe you'll hear from me there at some point.
