Like specific breeds of birds, they all have the ability to speak, but like those same birds it is just mimicry, yes. It fits well with their form which, while appearing humanoid isn't how they naturally are when they think no one is looking. I will elaborate more on that in later pictures as well.

Their anatomy has always fascinated me. I love their "true" form as opposed to the Deception one. I've always wondered about their intelligence/sentience and speech capabilities though. Can't wait to learn more about them in future images!

Chilling. I imagined similarly high-pitched sound but more bird-mimicking-child way. Do some of them speak slower or does their anatomy force the talking to be that fast?

Some speak slower and some speak faster, also the tone does slightly change, depending on the synx, it's size, etc..

Fml, I already thought they were cute enough without needing to hear this. While I never expected a deep voice, I always thought it'd maybe be raspy with more air and simple sounds than functional vocal cords. I guess sorta reptilian, not sure why.

With this vision as the central theme of what could be a scene in a movie/cartoon or animated short, there's great potential for a wide variety of dialogue to be had with any supporting characters, and especially so in the case of a speaking synx! :D And the more seriously taken and deeply, perhaps emotionally intertwined the voice acting of the cast, the more delicious the portrayals and overall performances! <333
