My friends have been on my case to release the Synx Mugen sprites since it's obvious I'll never work on the project again and there is a lot the general public never saw. The idea of just posting a massive sheet always bugged me, so we'll compromise. I will be trickling out these sprites as I find useful ways to display them.
I am posting this now because I decided to use it for here, trying to explain as simply as possible that synx are not quite people. Fun fact: the human fellow there is the universal size ref I made on the original sprite sheet. He is modeled after the height of the characters in Guilty Gear (namely Sol Badguy).
In the cases of the "less so 'stellar'" aspects of ChimeraSynx's creations, the artist is far more aware of them than the two of you are.
Of course, most of us understand that, to some, it is irresistibly "hip" (pun intended) to either undermine the implications behind the works of popular artists in efforts to in some way bring them down to "levels" that consist wholly of disjunctive, preconceived notions that in no way serve to construct so much as ridicule, so in all jolly spectation please do continue to suppose you understand more about something that was not even birthed of your own veins of inspiration let alone capacity for creativity.
Comedy relief never hurt anyone.
I stand corrected then. Sorry.
Lol, I'm one of those "honor and dignity" artful types, who over-emphasize respecting someone's creative works. Srs bzns...
I just love art enough to feel that anyone's ideas deserve significant respect.
But I'm totally a derp behind the walls of text and throwing of thesauruses at other people. My bad. x3
Already commented this in FA but damn I like that natural stance. I like the horizontal-looking jaws.
The natural stance of their jaws/head is actually always sideways or upside down (You will see upside down a lot more in the future). It's easier for them to carry their heads in those positions, and it's fine since they have no sense of up or down they don't get disoriented at all.
Aa that's neat. The humanoid-ish parts make it such a mind-fuck to look at; mind constantly trying to make sense of it's "deformed" structure. :3
Oh and by the way, were synx an open species? Would you mind if I attemped to create one?
Oh yeah I let everyone mess around with them who wants to; go right ahead! It's supposed to be canon that there are a LOT of synx out there, and I find it seems more official by letting people make their own.
Oo that's great. And so that's how they multiply...heh.
Was there anywhere a size-ref of synx? What would be the smallest possible living outside a host and what might be the biggest?
Well it's funny you should ask that since this image we're replying to is the closest thing to a size ref I've given out XD I used my first synx, which is basically the most average synx there is. They can be SLIGHTLY smaller then this, but basically all normal ones seem to start and stay at this size. They do get quite a bit bigger, but thats rare. There are weepers out there the size of elephants; and thats even rarer. A synx will always stay the same size unless it overeats and overeats a lot. Then when it grows it has to deal with a lot of problems and avoid a lot of things just to stay alive, thats why the big ones are rare and few.

I love how "Normal" is just a splat of limbs and teeth everywhere
