I'm just a generic orange fox for now. I'm abandoning use of my old skunk fursona to symbolize changes I'm trying to make for the better.

The storms that came through today around 9:15AM central time knocked four of our large trees down that was in our yard, and uprooted two of them. Two of these trees, the uprooted ones, fell on the house and my mother's truck. Right now, I'm lucky that an rl friend of mine is letting us stay with them for a while but, our house is damaged. From what I can see, the main bedroom's ceiling is badly damaged, two of the supporting horizontal beams have been cracked and separated, and a limb is jutting through the wall above the bed. The closet above said bedroom is also badly damaged, and the roof has obvious punctures in it from the tree. The entirety of the house is going to get water damaged. I hope the place we're renting from will be able to either get it repaired, or find us a new place to stay, be it equal quality to what it was before it was damaged, or slightly better as was in our lease.

At this time, I have myself and my cat at our friend's house, my mother is getting some of our things, and my [iconname:umbreon45] is at the hospital due to a strained muscle in his arm. Everything is okay, we're all alive, but I don't know how much the damages are going to cost right now. I hope everything can be fixed soon
