What the hell, why were you banned? Can you appeal or are you just not gonna bother? I see so many of my favorite artists leaving, but you were the first one to be perma banned.

Granted, I can see how this is called 'drama' in the sense that technically it's pointing someone out, but you weren't harassing him, you were pointing at what you were shown. At this point I don't know what is true or false with their TOS anymore, but to get -everything- chucked out over that, whereas other peopleusually just get the lock up...Yeah, I think someone was relishing deleting your stuff. :(

Sorry to hear this as I know that it does have a large audience (that is always watched with a suspicious eye) for possible commissions, but at the very least you can say you are done with that pile. The most I will do there is watch the artists I like that aren't on this site and not speak lest my words create owies.

For my part I'm sorry you actually got banned for this. I don't think what you did was in good taste, but a permaban over something like that is overkill.

Truly sorry too hear that. I think the admins over stepped their bounds here, what you were doing doesn't strike me as causing "Drama". If anything you were trying too warn and protect others from getting scammed by a fraudulent user.. I'm more grateful for the warning than anything else. At least now I have a reason to be more active on Weasyl and my other art accounts over FA.

Honestly, FA is the artboard equivalent of XBOX One. At first everyone is on the hype, but then they start to screw up their users over almost nothing, and eventually lose the trust of their users...

I love how quick they are to taking care of something like this, whereas my bf has had a furry stalking him and sending creepy PMs for weeks. We still haven't heard back on that trouble ticket.

I got banned from FA for supposedly ban evading 4 times when I only ever had 3 accounts ever logged into on my IP and it was my ex who was getting banned. my one account was made by her so it was linked to her accounts no matter what I tried they wouldn't listen. and the person that was the worst for me was summercat. he claimed I was a liar when I was telling the truth the whole time...

I'd say for those who are planning on leaving FA - don't do that quite yet.

If you recently got some sketch commishes or the like from Kayla, you should post them, and (assuming it's not 'against the TOS' post a link to her tumblr or weasyl promoting it. A little better than just journal entries, cause people don't read as much, but if they see a picture,, and see who it is, they tend to read the line coming after the name, (if at all) so...lure some traffic back this way.

Assuming it's not against the Kais-neer to mention offsite artists. Check your spotty TOS before trying. ^^;

Don't get me wrong when I say this, as I wouldn't go so far as to say I have a vendetta against the site, but it really does seem like the sooner events like this drive people to find a new community, the better. With the piss poor reputation the administration has and the general stagnation of the site's features, the only thing that seems to be keeping FA afloat is that it's where everyone is already. :/

I feel for you hun. In fact, I was nearly in the same boat once. I got terrorized into silence last year because I dared to publicly object to the wrongful takedown of part of my gallery, receiving quiet threats of "action" and so forth. The worst part is, not a week later the TOS was updated in clear terms to allow all the pictures that were taken down.

Well, I agree and disagree with his decision. I agree since no matter how good the intentions were for that moment, you were on the verge of stirring drama again. Once again, I know you weren't at all. But you have to put yourself in his shoes and know he'll just get you for it since it was indirectly (and inevitably) talking about another user in a bad light. You just gotta be careful around people that are like that. They will get you if you keep talking about something bad on their website in public like that (especially if they mostly owned it, then it's mostly they can do whatever they want with you)..

However, the timing of your ban is very bizarre and random. As CC mentioned earlier, "second chances" of rule breaking is not very healthy of moderation practice. You should've been banned a while ago. Why now all of the sudden? The moderation is in such a dismay, and yet they pretty much rely on the poor people donation money to keep going. More or less, with people like you mentioned that are scamming people left and right on that site and still on there. But I guess this is a good thing now because you can talk about anything and the FA mods can't do a damn thing about it.

Only in a community like FA's would one get banned for linking to information about someone that was scamming people with the flimsy pretence of "inciting drama"

Meh, not leaving there yet. It did stop being a primary place for me when they started limiting the content. Cuts into my customer base. I do still get some work out of there sometimes, and it does still see a decent amount of traffic among new furs, so I'll stick around until either it flops, they boot me or they manage to piss me off enough on a personal level.

Same level of asshattery on pointing fingers, bending meanings on rules and jumping on people over minor offenses while leaving major troublemakers loose.
