    Hey, just wanted to say you've got really cool ideas and excellent planet designs! I've been working on planets forever but can never get them to look so realistic.

      Thank you! As for the planet thing, there are a multitude of different methods that can be used to make them.

      What I usually do is make a map, reminiscent of the satellite images used on Google Earth, and them export it into a texture. Then this texture is mapped onto a 3d sphere in After Effects, to which I add a multitude of color corrections and glow effects to make it look somewhat realistic.

      I don't always like the end result, but maybe that's just me. Even so, I'm glad you appreciate my art. I've had a look at your space art, and I think it looks pretty good. The best thing about it is that, it's an art-style that is unique to you, and you have the artistic freedom to define the aesthetic of your universe in whatever way you please.

      So don't be ashamed of any "imperfections" you may think you have. That's just how you do things your way.
