Based on a number of notes I've gotten over my time on FA in the past.
This honestly used to bother me a lot, but sometimes they're just plain silly.
TLDR:
Forcing someone to do shit they don't enjoy means they probably won't a very good of a job. It wont make either of you happy.
Don't be an ass just because someone has different tastes.

No seriously.
In most of these cases I don't even know you and i might never have heard of you before!
Me NOT wanting to draw your particular thing has NOTHING to do with YOU as a person.
I draw to enjoy myself. Not to make a living. Drawing things i don't enjoy or just ain't comfortable with and taking a fun out of it ruins the point of a hobby.
Not to mention the fact that working for hours on something I DON'T enjoy will most likely mean it wont be as GOOD as something I've done while actually enjoying myself.
It'll be a better experience for both of us if you respect my rules and limitations and go to artists who you know will be able to give your commission their 100%!

funny. iv never understood why some furs get upset if there is a particular style an artist dose not go's for ,i have yet to experience something like that (if id ever get around to doing more art) don't really know how big a problem it can be in truth.

I always like to commission to an artist's strengths, or something they really enjoy drawing. Makes for a better picture!

Sadly I've seen this happen way too many times (and ironically the reason I don't have many commissions is people misunderstand what I will and wont draw simply because I have a demon for a fursona... IE gore is something I don't do but everyone is always shocked)
If I ever commission you I'd discuss everything beforehand x3

Sad thing is this happens in many other places, often coming in a form of "I'm helping you out of your comfort zone" mentality.

I mean, it's not like you're unwilling to do some of the most extreme things. It's literally a tiny handful of things you WONT draw. But, no, the perpetually offended have to focus on what you won't do rather than what you will do.

If you want X, find an artist who actually likes X. You'll probably get much better work out of it.

I'm always careful when commissioning someone. I ALWAYS read their TOS before I decide. If they are iffy about a certain subject, I'll do something they're fine with.

Sighs Never mess with an artist when you want them to make something for you. It's just not going to end well.
