Q: Why use a print-on-demand service vs. selling copies through the Avania PX storefront with other Avania merch?

A: I want to provide the best quality and accessibility in delivering these comic books, and since I already use Ka-Blam for printing, I felt it made the most sense just to print and ship directly to buyers rather than try to handle processing transactions and distribution on my own.

The comics are shipped in a sealed bag, protected by a purpose-designed Gemini mailer, inside an exterior carboard envelope. This helps ensure they stay factory-fresh and free of bends or wrinkles (the above photo was a sample order for 1 of each issue).

Q: What about the “Digital Download” option?

A: IndyPlanet also allows for the purchase of a downloadable .PDF version of the comic, but includes only the front cover and story pages for most issues.

If you would like full-resolution digital copies of Avania comic issues, I would strongly advise purchasing them off of ComiXology. The price for digital copies is the same on both sites, but the ComiXology issues have all the same pages as the print copies, and allow for DRM-free download as well as reading in-app with their optional Guided View format.
