As my signature there reveals, I actually drew this sketch back in 2019. I've had it pretty much all cleaned up for a few years now, and it was one of the very last mostly-finished sketches from the before times that I had not posted yet... It was originally prompted by my and AlfaFilly's comic and misc. imaginings of a Viktoria / Arpeggio cross-over, and since we haven't touched that particular subject in a while, I guess I was waiting for a "suitable time" to post this sketch.

To be more serious for a moment, 2023 has turned out to be a rather difficult year for me: being a father to an extremely busy little baby who has trouble sleeping, going 14 months now without a solid night's sleep myself, dealing with ongoing family issues, and recently a very serious health matter with my own father. It has been a challenge, to say the least.

As I'm sure many other artists feel, drawing, writing, and bringing my characters to life is more than just a hobby to me... While sketching sexy anthro Ospreys and the like doesn't sound especially profound as a form of personal expression and emotional catharsis, it is none-the-less something I deeply enjoy and an activity which nourishes my soul. It is also something I've had precious little time to do now having made the commitment to be a dad.

I am not unhappy with my choices though; I look with eager anticipation to what lies ahead as a parent, and also to what I want to do with my art as time allows... I just wish I could focus on fewer life-changing matters simultaneously, or at least get a bit more sleep.

TL;DR, Life is not static and I'm really tired.
