(Cherry Blossoms) Never Stay the Same [Child]

Woofle

I've been very busy of late working on some cool stuff! I've managed to square away a few small things for Elancia Chronicles while I do, too. One of those things was this piece, here which I never completed while working my way through the second season.

At the start of Season 2, there is a short period that takes place roughly 11 years before the start of Season 1, on the isle where the main character, Verse, was raised. Verse, and childhood friend Camdyn reveal a lot of things about the isle of Qaimusu, themselves, and ultimately set the course for the story in season 2, which begins on that very isle in the present.

This is the song that plays in the village on Qaimusu Isle during that segment. It is a whimsical and fun tune, considering both Verse and Camdyn (moreso Camdyn) are troublemakers, and generally snotty little brats that cause havoc in the village. Another arrangement plays when Verse returns as a young adult. I wanted there to be a very stark contrast between the two versions, which you can hear for yourself! Enjoy. :3

This sounds so great. Are you using the same synths you mentioned using last time I asked, or is there something new here? Fantastic work.

      Hey, thanks!!! :D

For the most part, I've got the same set here (there's some really heavy use of the Plugsound ones and realguitar) but I dug out a couple older ones for this. One does soundfonts (I used some SEGA Genesis bass instruments there) another one is called 'Impulse' and it came with mixcraft (layered that over the SEGA basses.) It's very fun to play around with! The other one I dug out that was older was DSK overture, which I used for the timpani/string/horn combination. The DSK ones are all free and super easy to get off their site, but they're a liiiittle crash-prone.
