I have no doubt that it is a true story.

This is slightly dramatised, but apparently Van also heard me crashing into things. I didn't include that because I didn't remember it, probably because I was too busy panicking.

this is adorable and i love the gestures and poses and expressions; it's just so great
also bats in undies instantly make for a wonderful thing

I could have kept my clothes for the comic, but no. That would be hiding the truth.
on 2 August 2014 at 18:16:36 MDT
It's okay, I'm deathly afraid of adorable butterflies too..............NOT
on 3 August 2014 at 05:52:17 MDT
They are not adorable. They are hellspawn horrors.

I know what I am going to send you for your birthday! A giant box filled with butterflies and moths! >:3
on 3 August 2014 at 07:07:47 MDT
"Oh! Wow. Uh, thanks. You, uh, you didn't need to, really."
on 3 August 2014 at 07:24:29 MDT
Yes I did! takes the lid off and lets the moths and butterflies attack you en mass!

Scared bats are so cute! : )

Panicked and terrified people are incredibly fun to draw.
on 2 August 2014 at 20:03:18 MDT
Ugh. Right there with you. I had one land on my nose when I was four years old. Then it spread its wings, and it looked like two big evil eyes staring me right in the face. Much wailing and flailing ensued. Took me years to get over my fear of them.
on 3 August 2014 at 05:45:49 MDT
I'm glad I'm not alone here! I don't have any horror stories; this is just the logical-but-stupid consequence of my general fear of insects and arachnids.
on 2 August 2014 at 22:50:51 MDT
lol. What an epic adventure that was!
on 3 August 2014 at 05:53:10 MDT
I should have styled it as an illuminated manuscript.
on 3 August 2014 at 00:44:37 MDT
There is something strangely adorable about the phrasing of "I AM NOT A BUG BAT."
on 3 August 2014 at 05:46:49 MDT
It seems to have resonated! Especially with other fruit bats.
on 3 August 2014 at 01:25:57 MDT
Unsympathetic Weasel is very unsympathetic!
on 3 August 2014 at 05:48:40 MDT
In fairness, when a queen hornet got into my room, he did come to my rescue and slay the odious creature himself with naught but a rubber band.
on 3 August 2014 at 06:31:05 MDT
With a rubber band!? Awesome! :D

I have drawn so many bat nipples this last week.

I love how the comic only started after you stripped to undies, you fluttery tease :3
on 4 August 2014 at 15:31:38 MDT
But that's what happened! I was all hot and sweaty from cycling home.
on 23 August 2014 at 22:43:39 MDT
This is the cutest freaking thing. You look so flustered!
on 24 August 2014 at 22:14:27 MDT
This was a harrowing experience! I barely survived!
on 24 August 2014 at 22:35:33 MDT
Truly the power of your briefs was the only thing that got you through.
on 13 September 2014 at 21:50:18 MDT

I'm surprised he didn't use his bat wing as a giant fan to blow the bug out of the window. Heh.
