It's finally done! If you follow me on any of my social media sites you've seen plenty of teasers for this piece so far XD
Really, really proud of how this came out, and how much work I put into it. For once there wasn't a point where I felt like giving up, despite it also being the longest I've spent on a piece. Ever.
~40 - 50 hours over the course of six days. Acrylic paint and liquid leaf.
The original will be for sale in the Anthrocon 2015 art show!

Thanks! Yeah unfortunately the gold doesn't photograph well. It doesn't help that it's not true gold leaf so it's not quite as lustrous. But it looks nice in person lol

Definitely a step up for you skill-wise, especially in the traditional media department. Your handling of the paint along with your choice of framing, colors and motif are blended seamlessly and executed beautifully.

WOW! Definitely love the details and the Nouveau style. I especially love the peacock feathers detail. Wish I could see this in person cause I know the gold in person must look amazing!
