Everyone knows by now that marriage equality finally passed in America across all fifty states. Even though Canada has had that for ten years already, it was still very exciting news for me! I got swept up in the excitement along with everyone else. One of Spartadog's friends got their partner a rainbow cake in celebration. He commented about how he wanted cake too, so I contacted one of his friends who lives down the street from him, and gave them money to go buy him the gayest, most rainbow cake they could find.
What no one knew was the cake also had a secondary meaning. I'd been thinking on it for a while, and the excitement over marriage equality finally passing was the final straw, so I proposed to my boyfriend of a year and a half via rainbow cake.
Too bad I forgot for the first two hours of it being in his possession |D He was just so happy and excited that I got him a cake despite being across the continent and in another country that I kind of... forgot that I had to actually tell him it was a proposal.
Cue immense excitement and happiness from him, which was everything I had hoped for. Now I just have to get enough money to go see him in November and get proper rings together!
