This was a commission I did for Felan :)
It was great to do something with nature and cloth again.
I tried to put more detail into the textures and I think I should work on that more in the future.
Watercolor, gouache and colored pencils on paper.

This is a very nice picture! Not only the foreground but also the background amazes me. It looks natural (not just because it's nature. :D ) Having an eye on the texture is always a good idea to make a picture more inheritely consistent and you did very well here. This coat-like cloth looks really comfy and the arrangement of the folds is awesome. I'm currently having a similar cloth to paint and after hours of drawing the folds again and again I gave up and left it the way it was.
There is only one thing I'm still thinking about: The head. I'm really not sure if this is just me but I have the feeling there is something not in the correct position, just a few milimetres. I can't really catch it because it's been a while since my last fox but when I look on photos, I have the feeling, there is a difference. Maybe the head could be a little bit more rounder? I really don't know.
Beside that it's really adorable (and even this thing isn't really "bad".) :)-

Well its not a total realistic fox. If you look at a real fox the muscle is much more narrow then this one. But in the reference sheet I got, the nose was very massive. So I dont think if this might be your problem with the face. But well, nobody is perfect. The day I will draw a picture everybody is totaly happy with will never come. ;)
