Through lanes and stone rows, black granite, wind blows.
Fire lake and far flame. Go now but come again.
Dark clouds gather 'round.
Will I run or stand my ground?

The final Anthrocon commission, a render for ninjalion of FA of Riyoh channeling some lightning and wind. Things are about to get electric. (I'm sort of sorry about the previous sentence, but not entirely.)

This was an absolute joy to work on, and I'm extremely happy with the results. I tried to push myself further with this guy than I have previous renders, and I truly hope it shows. Onto some personal work and commitments; hopefully commissions will re-open soon!

      It would! It might be good for a lot of things, actually. My main goal was a sort of splash-image that you might see in League of Legends or something, because I'm a sucker for those character action illustrations. Ugh. So good.

        I love those, too...one of the neat things about getting some of the video game artbooks is the illustrations you don't see often--like on randomly generated loading screens ("Disgaea" games are good examples of this!). I remember getting the "Grandia II" artbook and saw illustrations for Melfice's "not possessed version" that were never shown in the game, but were clearly splash illustrations.

        That gave me the best worst idea ever. Unlike most mages, electrical based mages use wool socks as their catalyst rather than wands. They rub their feet on the ground before casting!
