Hey everyone!!!
I'm back from my extended time off! This has been the best REAL vacation I've taken in a very long time. After pretty much busting my hump for a couple of months straight ATLEAST, and with July being so packed in commitments and deadline, I think the break was necessary and boy oh boy...I feel great! Thanks guys for being so cool and stuff :3

MALTESE FURCON
So, I attended maltese furcon which was my FIRST furry con, AND my first dealer's den experience. Slap the "guest of honor" sticker on my face, and you've got yourself a pretty nervous beaver lol. The convention was great though. It was well organized, and a surprisingly nice turn-out for a small first-year con. I can see how other more established cons can be wicked hectic, the dealers den was pretty tame most of the time :] Either way! I look forward to the next MFC for sure! I know what to do and what not to do the next time! The parking was alittle bit of a hassle and there was a severe lack of reasonably priced food in the area...but that was the fault of the hotel's location, not the con ;] My advice...BRING FOOD or order out... use an outside parking service that doesn't charge $43 every SEVEN HOURS hehe, we went with a park and shuttle service that charged us $54 for the whole weekend. At any rate, the con was great, Rourkie and company did an amazing job putting it all together!!! It was a dream come true for them and I hope they were just as impressed and Roy and I were. Also finally met some folks IRL that became instant bros... and to name a couple <3<3
I MISS THE CON ACTUALLY. I wanna go back weeeehhhhh

ONWARD TO BUSINESS!

• I don't think I'm going to be opening for any regular commission slots this month, that is, unless I'm really good and get all of my backed up work done! If I do open it will be for offline slots that I get done before the end of the month, on a first come-first serve "you see the journal first you get it first" basis... basically.

• I WILL be taking twitter sketches peppered throughout the weeks ahead. I don't think I'll have time to stream for a while! If you aren't already, I'd recommend following me on Twitter for random chances for sketches while streams are not a go. http://www.twitter.com/betsythebeaver This is the last official financial catch-up week before things start to really calm down and I can finally start building my savings again. 8D

• Tales of Avalon will be taking a brief-ish hiatus so that i can play catch-up! In other words, comic is business as usual, just not posting any new strips for a few+ weeks whilst I build up a cushion again!

SO! Remember that beach party picture we all put dollars into?! Well! The picture is due to be worked on and completed over the week of Labor Day! One last hurrah before ushering in FALL!
