I have no doubt that it is a true story.

This is slightly dramatised, but apparently Van also heard me crashing into things. I didn't include that because I didn't remember it, probably because I was too busy panicking.

this is adorable and i love the gestures and poses and expressions; it's just so great

also bats in undies instantly make for a wonderful thing

I could have kept my clothes for the comic, but no. That would be hiding the truth.

It's okay, I'm deathly afraid of adorable butterflies too.

They are not adorable. They are hellspawn horrors.

I know what I am going to send you for your birthday! A giant box filled with butterflies and moths! >:3

"Oh! Wow. Uh, thanks. You, uh, you didn't need to, really."

          • Link

Yes I did! takes the lid off and lets the moths and butterflies attack you en mass!

            • Link

oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god

              • Link

They are your friends! Be nice to them! :p

  • Link

I would have eaten it for you.

    • Link

      Awww. How sweet!

So long as I don't have to watch.

  • Link

Scared bats are so cute! : )

    • Link

Panicked and terrified people are incredibly fun to draw.

Ugh. Right there with you. I had one land on my nose when I was four years old. Then it spread its wings, and it looked like two big evil eyes staring me right in the face. Much wailing and flailing ensued. Took me years to get over my fear of them.

I'm glad I'm not alone here! I don't have any horror stories; this is just the logical-but-stupid consequence of my general fear of insects and arachnids.

  • Link

lol. What an epic adventure that was!

    • Link

I should have styled it as an illuminated manuscript.

  • Link

There is something strangely adorable about the phrasing of "I AM NOT A BUG BAT."

    • Link

It seems to have resonated! Especially with other fruit bats.

  • Link

    Unsympathetic Weasel is very unsympathetic!

    • Link

In fairness, when a queen hornet got into my room, he did come to my rescue and slay the odious creature himself with naught but a rubber band.

      • Link

With a rubber band!? Awesome! :D

        • Link

He may have been nude at the time. Truly a Greek heroic epic.

          • Link

            You're strange.

  • Link

I was literally laughing out loud. :D

    • Link

Hooray! I'm glad my terrified screams are entertaining.

  • Link

    Gavin is freaking adorable.

  • Link

The combination of adorable panic and undies make this a truly wonderful set. ¦D

    • Link

I have drawn so many bat nipples this last week.

  • Link

I love how the comic only started after you stripped to undies, you fluttery tease :3

    • Link

But that's what happened! I was all hot and sweaty from cycling home.

  • Link

This is the cutest freaking thing. You look so flustered!

    • Link

This was a harrowing experience! I barely survived!

      • Link

Truly the power of your briefs was the only thing that got you through.

  • Link

You could not be more freaking adorable if you tried. Poor scared little batty. gives you all the sympathetic pets

  • Link

    calls Mothra

  • Link

I'm surprised he didn't use his bat wing as a giant fan to blow the bug out of the window. Heh.
