A fantastic piece by SnowSnow11 depicting one of the angels/holy-ones from my “Fidonhaal” setting.
This is Maywa, the Angel of Day and the Sun. Slender and gracious in figure and composure, she wears a fine gown and carries a mirror framed with an image of the sun. Her body glows with a warm, golden light.
She is the wife of Yorun, the Angel of Night and the Moon, of whom SnowSnow also just recently did a depiction!

Together, Maywa and Yorun are the source of the benevolent entities known as sunwisps and moonwisps, which potentially appear in favored places during their respective times of day or night. Both are also commonly associated with revelations, truth, enlightenment, and the like, with Maywa being particularly affiliated with truth and knowledge that springs from “reflecting” on oneself, and the discoveries that light brings from out of darkness, in both the literal and metaphorical senses. She has been described as stately, but kindly, in her demeanor by those who have encountered her.
