Located just south of the vast deserts of the deadlands, in the heart of the nation of Pentala, lies the modestly large city of Radon. Being one of the first cities in this ancient nation, many of the buildings predate the country's current name, and current government, dating back to a time just after the Sarralynese Empire broke up, ending the ancient age when great empires waged war over whole continents.
All that aside, the ancient domes and arches of this great stone city have inherited sovereignty over a nation in flux. The former capital, Rul'Talo was flattened and devastated in a tidal wave, that slew the royal family, and most of parliament, along with thousands and thousands of citizens. What is left of that town is currently under military control, but most of the survivors have moved to Radon, where the central government has been set up.
Either way, Radon is bisected by a large river, kept to its channel with stones, and home to many ancient houses of worship, aristocratic palaces, and far more recent factories and mills. Despite not being a port, Radon is Pentala's richest city.
Currently, a former ambassador is running the country, and dealing with tensions both political and religious, while trying to deal with the flood of refugees, and gathering new officials to replace those lost in the disaster.
Radon, as such, is filled with the military and all their guns and spears, tons of mages working for the Fellowship of Aegiys, and an influx of refugees.
Imitation MD bass for the win! :D
This song is another real old one (2002, 2004 , somewhere in there IIRC) So I spent a lot of time expanding it and the like, which was pretty fun!
The piano's rather quiet, because it isn't the melody, and there isn't really a melody during that spot.
Yeah. XD We're the same about percussion. The louder, the better!
I've got the accordion bouncing from speaker to speaker on its delay. XD It really helps with clutter, honestly.
2'35: Yeah, I like the song not to be a carbon copy both times through, and I like it to be varied enough that players won't get bored wandering around a town for 20 minutes. xD There's a lot to do in towns n' stuff.
3'05: What I'm doin' here is playing a harmony of different leads, two on brass instruments, and one on the accordion. It made for an unexpectedly nice sound!
4'02: That's a sitar! :3 Middle eastern/Asian instrument. A wonderful, unique sound, isn't it?
4'30:This is one of my favorite progressions! :D It was common in a lot of the R&B I listen to from the 70s through the 90s.
Oh wow, you're finally caught up? :o!! now time for me to catch up on the comments!
