Corner [Day]

I meant to upload this much earlier, but for now, this is the way the World Map theme will sound when a player first exits whichever town they end up in, in the fourth (and final) season of Elancia Chronicles: The Order of New Gods -- at least during the day. The night version can be found here;

https://www.weasyl.com/submission/195601/corner-night

The fourth season is not a very happy tale, and was never meant to be. The dark undertones which had lingered below the story have finally come to the forefront, and I wanted to show how bleak and lonely things are at this point in the story.

Later, if the player is able to track down the survivors of recent events that transpired, and re-recruit them (and possibly recruit new help) the song changes, and gains more tracks. Those cuts will be posted later, as will the night renditions of each. This tune includes many tunes from previous scenes and seasons. Can you name them?

Nice little piece! My favourite of the 2 Corners. :D

Thanks much!!! There will be more renditions of this theme coming later on, as it's meant to evolve throughout the course of the story. I hope you enjoy those, too :D

Strings play... not a whole lot more, waiting for things to pick up.
I like the percussion, the little there is for now.
~49 more sounds came in as far as percussion goes. Most welcome !
1:10 and things start to pick up or so it seems.
1:28 it builds up ! And I have heard this elsewhere...
and the recurring motif I recognize all times.
Friend asked stuff, gonna asnwer him again... brb lol
4:00 bäkk. Not awhole lot more happened meanwhile.
    And it ended.

Now I am unsettled, must know where I have heard the pieces before lol

The pieces are actually the Elancia Chronicles theme, then Symphony of Blistered Skies (Season 1 map/theme), Symphony of Heartless Certainty (Season 2 map/theme), and La Puesta Del Sol Sin Fin (Season 3 map!/theme) -- I didn't include their melodies in this cut.

I know you were waiting for it to 'pick up', too, but what I was going for with this song is the feeling of isolation, not action travel. As the description mentions, the story becomes rather dark by this point, and you begin the fourth season alone. I felt this sort of ambiance would best signify the emotional state of the lone character during this part of the story. [/rambling]

OK, I am no longer unsettled haha.
That is what listening without a whole lot of context gives (as in no game :P). I can understand why it sounds the way it is, but there's always little bit of "maybe it will do that instead" hahaha
I was not disappointed or anything, its good in a different way rather than the way I expected !

Yeah, it's why I try to detail and explain every situation in the descriptions of the songs. I know the descriptions are very wordy, and probably a bit annoying to read, but it gives better insight into the characters/situations/emotions I'm goin' for. A lot of the themes in the game are pretty... different from the norm. The game's story is really hard to sum up, and gets pretty complicated to say the least, but I try to give the most uncomplicated descriptions I can for each one. (Sometimes, I am drunk, and don't describe much at all xDDDD!!!)
Oh, good! I thought it gave you a sad :<

This is now my favorite world map theme, it sounds so melancholy and sad, yet you cant give up quite yet.

Yet more Sola To Robo influence in this one. x3 I had -just- gotten the game when I first did this IIRC. It ended up coming out really well. ;~; I can't wait to get back to this point in the story... It's... bleak, but there's a glimmer of hope, too!

Yeah, ive noticed that a number of songs are definitely influence by it, and this one is probably the most obvious with it now that I'm listening to it again. A GOOD GAME TO BE INFLUENCED BY.

THE BESTEST. That and Threads of Fate. They make my head explode from awesome.
