Drawn in 1998. I think this was supposed to be Sandy! Rather than draw the bracers on her arms, I toyed with giving her bracelets, and a slightly different hairstyle.

You will also notice the hatch marks! My very dear friend, BrianBlackberry, often "shaded" his art with nothing but inks and very fine hatch marks! I recall absolutely adoring his work, and I tried to mimic what he was doing.

A couple notes on this: Brian used much finer hatch marks than I did, and they were very evenly spaced, which contributed far better to the look of being shaded. Mine were a bit...haphazard, and I didn't understand why this was so difficult for me until much later. I learned that I had strabismus in 2014; that's when one's eyes don't quite align properly, and one sees double! I apparently had this my whole life, but it didn't dawn on me until I pointed out to the eye doctor that the images were not aligning. Turns out that mild cases are easily corrected with prism lenses!

The OTHER bit was I was diagnosed with ADD in 2005; though I learned MUCH later that it wasn't ADD, but sleep apnea, which manifests attention issues in a very similar manner to ADD.

Combine misaligned eyesight to poor attention problems, and BAM! Even if I had been intensely focused, it was incredibly difficult to perform good hatch mark shading.
