Third piece in the black cardstock series.

This was where I really started making a sharp learning curve not only by cutting back on the use of gel pen, which kept retaliating against the wax by cutting out every time I lift it in a pause to decide my next mark. I did forget to erase some pencil lines in this piece around the claws - WHOOPS!

This is the only piece that had a pre-sketch concept of composition. I wanted to really play with shadow and light sources on this one, as well as test my theory about using a wider tone gradient of pencils. I was a little stumped on color scheme for this one, though I wished I paced myself a little more and really worked on blending the three body colors better with each other.

Measuring at a 6"X8" format, I'm debating making prints of this piece.
