Cygnus dragons are the clingiest dragons in Lorn. They are notorious for "bonding" with a single individual of their choosing, who they proceed to follow and dote on for the rest of their (or their victim's) life.
This bond is so powerful that a cygnus dragon will overlook its mate or children to be with their bonded buddy-- and their mate and children will likely do the same exact thing.
In myth, cygnus dragons are often seen as bound souls that, for whatever reason, are unable to reach their partner in their current lifetime. Feeling lost, they try to fill that void by bonding to a random individual that they stay with in place of their partner for the remainder of that lifetime. This bond is entirely platonic, although a cygnus may happen to possess this bond with an individual that doubles as their mate.
Cygnus dragons also have a strange ability to project their emotions onto any being that they come into contact with. It is thought that cygnus dragons do this to try and reach out to their lost bound partner.

Cygnus dragons are born wingless and less than two feet long. By the age of ten, considered mature, they are roughly the size of a large deer (in mass) and sprout wings. By age 20, they are considered fully grown and roughly the size of a horse.

Although generally considered very beautiful, cygnus dragons are pretty much the clowns of the dragon world. Their behavior can be likened to birds, cats, dogs, and ferrets. The sounds they make range from owl-like screeches. to cat-like purrs, dog-like growls, fox-like barks, and finch-like chirps. Like many dragons, they enjoy hoarding objects. Unlike aurum dragons, however, cygni would rather collect string, bits of food, and lost pairs of socks than silver and gold.
