Chapter 10: Rendezvous

Sakura glanced upward to see Aero returning with everything he got back at the laboratory.

"Did you get something to fix me?" she asked.

"Sure. Give me a second." Aero said.

Opening Sakura's right leg engine, Aero saw the faulty part. He removed it and then took extra care installing the replacement part. The new part was installed in no time.

"I'm done." Aero said a few moments later. "why don't you test it?"

"Ok." Sakura said.

She took off and flew 2000 feet in the air, flew a few loops in the sky, and came back down to where Aero was.

"It works. I can fly again. Thank you, Aero."

"You're welcome."

"What was the other stuff you brought back from the laboratory?"

"Oh, that? I'll explain."

Aero then proceeded to tell Sakura about how he was created by both Vaxtus and Archibald, how Vaxtus betrayed Archibald, the scatter device that could be used if the whole Estrella Diamond got in Vaxtus' grasp, and about the virus that was affecting his memory.

"You have a virus in your memory circuits? Fortunately, I have just the fix." She took out some antivirus software on a miniature card and inserted it into a slot on Aero's wrist. The software cured Aero's virus.

"I remember now. With that virus in me, I was in a small state of amnesia and unable to recall memories easily even though I havd been there before. Thanks, I guess we both helped each other."

"Yup, we sure did." Sakura said.

Aero picked up the scatter device and installed it in his missile launcher system for safekeeping and picked up the charred wing and got ready to leave with Sakura. Just then, a flash of green, orange, and gray appeared. A small green and gray Jetroid had landed in the vicinity with Aero and Sakura. It was Yuesbi.

"What are you doing here?" Aero said.

"I came here to tell you something. I installed a tracker in my goggles that lets me find where you are at. What were you doing?"

Aero proceeded to explain how Sakura got damaged, how he found the lab, repaired Sakura, and learned about his past."

"That's so cool" Yuesbi said.

"So what did you come to tell us?" Sakura asked.

"It's horrible. While you two were down here, Vaxtus' minions got the last 2 pieces of the Estrella Diamond. And they challenged us to a battle back in Atmo City. When you two never returned, I flew to the surface and used my new tracker to find where you were." Yuesbi explained.

"We've got to get back up there!" Aero said.

"Understood. Lift off!" Sakura said.

So the three of them flew back to Atmo City.
