I FINALLY GOT TO TAKE MY TAIL OUT SWIMMING AGAIN YAAAAAYYY. Today has literally been the best flippin' day EVER.

I'm not a very photogenic person and don't generally make it a habit to post pictures of myself on sites like this, but I'm just feeling AWESOME and UNSTOPPABLE today and I'm so freakin' proud of myself. SO HERE HAVE MY DUMB FACE.

I had so much fun. SO. MUCH. FUN. Two of my best friends and I got to the Canyon early on in the day, so it hadn't quite warmed up yet and actually started raining a bit, but that only lasted about 20 minutes during which we decided to change into our swimsuits and hop in anyway. By the time we'd all gotten into the water, the rain stopped, the clouds went away and it was sunny and ~25C the rest of the day.

This was so painfully needed, oh my god. I'd been depressed and stressed out for weeks, and the weather for most of the summer was absolute garbage so whenever I wasn't at work, I was stuck at home with nothing to do. When my friends and I confirmed plans to go to Manuels River yesterday afternoon I was SO stoked that I only got, like... three and a half hours' sleep. My poor tail had been stuffed in the closet since April with only one use under her belt (an hour at the public pool, which was interesting aside from the fact that chlorine is not my friend) and finally getting to break her out to the pool had me ECSTATIC.

I'm so exhausted, and I'm gonna be aching like hell tomorrow, but it was SO WORTH IT. <3 I can't wait to go swimming again!
