So, who am I? Well, the name's Skips. But you probably knew that already. That's my name and my fursona's name. I'm an aspiring artist who currently attempts to draw in my free time from school work, if I can ever convince myself to actually put pen to paper...or tablet. Right now I'm focusing mainly on anthro art, but I'd like to do more than that one day.

I'm a Floridian, and a Panhandler at that, but I've moved around when I was younger, which has fostered a love for travel and culture. But, my heart will always be in the South. Currently going to school studying Software Engineering and other such things. Truth be told, though, I'd rather be an artist. So, I'd like to use that degree I'd get to pursue some more creative careers, be it video games or movies or what have you. I'm generally a shy person. Have trouble meeting new people or making friends. However, I love chatting and hanging out with friends. So do forgive me if I don't thank you for a watch or favorite, but I'm usually open to making new friends.

As for things I like to do, there's a few things. I consider myself a road tripper. A seven hour car drive sounds like an adventure to me, and I love traveling to new places. Seeing the world is something I'd like to do one day, but I know that's just a pipe dream. Video games are one thing I have a passion for. I mostly play on my PC or PS3. I'm not the most hardcore gamer, and I don't game often, but I love what video games are, and I like appreciating them from an artistic standpoint. I mostly play single player games, and when I do play multiplayer, it's when I'm playing with friends. Some of my all time favorite games are Journey and Grim Fandango, so that might give you an idea of what sort of games I like.

Speaking of art, I am a fan of it. Used to make pottery a few years back, but stopped since I no longer have access to a pottery studio. Lately, been attempting to teach myself to draw well to varying degrees of success. My biggest obstacle remains myself, my lack of confidence, and my lack of discipline to actually sit down and draw something regularly. Here's hoping one day I'll get past that, and I might actually learn something. Aside from that, I like taking photographs with my phone. Mostly of things like plants, sunsets, interestingly lit things, and my cats. Those things are generally what inspires my creative moods to begin with. Known about the fandom for years now, and though liking anthro art a lot, never really got into the fandom. That is, until I finally got around to making a fursona back in the summer of 2012, and over the course of the following year started drawing and getting art of my character and even went to my first con, and now I'm looking into fursuiting in the future. So, I'm pretty much a furry now, and I don't really think I'd want it any other way. In gerneral, I like the fandom.

Well, I suppose that's not a very accurate term. I mean, I'm not setting up a shop. Nor am I offering art. Trying to be good at it, but that's going at a glacial pace. What I mean is that I'm claiming my little corner of Weasyl! What with the great FA outage of December 2013 going on, I've decided to expand into new territory. And look! I managed to claim "Skips" as my username! You don't know how happy that makes me!

But, anyways, this has been a long time coming. Weasyl has been a site that's been interesting me since I first saw it. And like I said, with FA being down, figured it was time to get a Weasyl. And to get my name before someone else does! But so far, I like what I'm finding on this site. Will it replace FA as my go to place for furry art? Depends. But, I don't mind having a secondary place.
