Leah never received a great deal of character development, despite being one of my older character designs, dating back to mid-2013. She mostly existed as a secondary/background character, a generic "cute pudgy early twenty-something" like many of my other characters, although since I do enjoy drawing kemonomimi/demihuman sorts, she would occasionally appear in the typical character art I enjoy drawing.

I've been planning on reintroducing Leah for a few months now--there was a brief time when I first designed her, back in 2013, that I had considered pairing her up with Dominic "Skunk Boy" Mephitto. However, before I made it official, Tex showed up and seemed like a better fit for him.

However, with demihuman raccoon boy Nick Domnall being something of a "what if I went with a raccoon instead of a skunk?" version of Skunk Boy, I decided I'd like to lean into the "what if?" angle more, and will be pairing Nick up with Leah. The dynamic will probably be fairly similar to Skunk Boy and Tex, with Leah being the more outgoing of the pair, while Nick is more shy and reserved at first--although they will likely be equally adorkable and awkward.

I think the only part of this I don't care for is her nose. Humanoid noses are something I still struggle with to this day, unfortunately, and can ruin a piece I otherwise quite enjoy it seems... Which is why you should head over to my Inkbunny gallery and see the second version where I tried giving her an animal nose like I do with Tex and Nick! Say what you will about the sort of art and people Inkbunny allows (because it's likely well-deserved), but one thing they DO offer that no other gallery site I currently use is the option to post multiple pics as part of a single submission.

That means I will likely have a bit of Inkbunny-exclusive content in the future... and it'll all be alternate versions of the same sort of cute vanilla art I'm posting elsewhere. Don't worry, FA and Weasyl peeps, you get exclusive content too, in the form of my occasional photography posts!
(This is due entirely to different site policies and different site capabilities and not me trying to force people to follow me across multiple platforms. Unless you want to...)

And, speaking of photography... the photo I used as a background is from one of my nature walks.
