I seem to have a knack for finding grumpy little box turtles (an eastern box turtle, in this case) sitting out in the middle of trails. This guy was hanging out along the backpacking trail at East Fork State Park in Bethel, Ohio. Finding him and getting a decent photo was one of only a very few positives that I took away from this unfortunately miserable day in the woods.
