How are all you fluffs, scalies, avians, hoofers, and aquatics!?
I was a furry long before I even knew the fandom existed. Always loved drawing animals, and yes, anthropomorphic beings. I was even always crafting and wearing cat accessories for Halloween. In high school my art teacher teased me for being a furry and I was always like "What the heck is that!?" She always said it with a negative reflection in her voice, so I assumed it must be something bad. This is when I decided to research it for my creative writing class. We were all writing about different topics and creating these pamphlet-like mini books where there would be illustrations, definitions, and some general information about the subject. I'm glad I looked into it, because just a year later I was up and selling my art (always a dream of mine) and I never thought it would have been possible.
The fandom has done so much for me, and I hope that everyone with their path finds some of that same happiness.
