A little fan art for a band that DimeSpin introduced me to a few weeks ago called Steam Powered Giraffe! Check out their website if you haven't heard of them before, I'm LOVING every bit of music, video and media they put out!

This guy is my favorite in the band, The Spine. These guys are master performers with addictively good voices. Using spine tingling harmonies combined with their pantomime skills they've created a fantastic act. It's more than just an act I dare say, it's a whole artistic head-world like many us artists indulge in. But they've brought it to life in a way that's so immersive and fun!
I only with I could paint the other band members, but I must get back to commissions once more. At least I got to to paint one!

Thanks! Though to clear something up for you, Jon didn't die. He and the band parted ways, but he is still very much alive and well! Just not a part of Steam Powered Giraffe anymore.
Their popularity has really skyrocket recently, I hope it keeps going. =)

Oh! That's good to know. Damn people going RIP the Jon and stuff. Glad to know, and thanks. xD It has recently, yet for some reason not popular enough. This is really great music and of course a great performance as well, and being an engineer and hearing them use techie words in their songs, well, it's just amazing!

I too, will have to see more of him before I decide. I like his make-up and his outfit, but there is also that creepy ventriloquist doll quality to the make-up that prevents me from thinking he's super cute like a lot of other SPG fans think. XD I saw some youtube videos of his performance and Youmacon, I'm hoping he improves his mime skills so he can physically be like a robot more. I bet he's working on it!

I just saw his face and I was "me and my baby love~" I think The Jon passed away not so long ago, that is really sad! This band is amazing and this song is amazing too, that and honeybee. I wish they were more known around, their music is just amazing.
