As mentioned in the watercolor posting from earlier in the week--here's a pic of the Caminus pairing (of my OCs), Amethyst Wing and Scarlet Wave. The two came out of Vector Sigma's Forge together--they've been together for the past 9 million years and have never really regretted their partnership. Their close bond and the power of Caminus' Core Key gave them the sole and unique ability to PowerLink.

Yes, as in the "Transformers: SuperLink" (or "Energon" in the U.S.) anime.

Scarlet is the genius and Amethyst is the warrior--together they are an unbeatable team. In the absence of their leader and old friend, Serenity/Azure Knight--they've been leading the rebellion on Caminus under her name.

Fun fact, though--as I was designing Amethyst, Scarlet and Azure.............I had originally planned for Amethyst to be the leader of Caminus and for Scarlet and Azure to be the Paladin Guards. It made sense, as "red and blue make purple". But then, as I was finalizing their designs and chosen weapons--it made a lot more sense for Azure Knight to be the "missing princess". There was also the other thrown-out idea that Amethyst would be the PowerLink combo of Scarlet and Azure..........but I got rid of that one early on, when I decided to have a trio of new characters who were friends. It seemed to weird to have a completely different design representing a PowerLink.
