Octransfur Day 7: Helper Kobold [Pooltoy Dragon TF] by Joat

Today, it seemed, was a day of oddities. First was that Ken felt a strong urge to take a walk through the forest, as if somehow being called to it. Next was that halfway through his walk, he found a deflated pooltoy in the shape of a kobold on a tree stump. Then, to make things more odd, it seemed completely undamaged and untarnished by its time out in the wild. It didn’t even look dirty.

He couldn’t help but bring it home. He couldn’t bear to let such a clearly-high-quality item languish in the middle of a forest. Once he got home, he decided to go ahead and blow it up then and there in his living room, opening the valve on its tail and puffing into it. Surprisingly, it seemed to be a single-chamber toy, despite its relatively complex-looking design. After a while of puffing into its tail valve, he was looking at a very cute-looking 3’ tall blue kobold toy. He turned the toy around to face him, gazing into its big, cute eyes... at which point he noticed the painted-on pupils move, looking right back at him.

Ken took a step back, wondering if perhaps it was simply an optical illusion, before the toy moved further. It opened its mouth - which had individual jaws rather than being painted on - and gave a big wave with one of its forepaws, speaking in a squeaky voice. “Hello, master~!”

It took Ken a moment to process what had happened. He, of course, had a great many questions, but one came to the surface before any others. “...Master?”

The kobold gazed up cutely at Ken, barely able to contain its energy, tail wagging with excitement. “Oh, yes! Almighty master, granter of life!”

Ken blinked twice. Had he really brought this toy to life, somehow? Was it by inflating it? It couldn’t have been just that, could it? Last he checked, he didn’t have magic breath (not that he was specifically checking such things, mind).

Whatever it was, the kobold didn’t give him much time to ponder it, quickly speaking again. “Oh, but master! You look so... strange!”

“Huh?” Ken asked. He felt like he should be insulted, but it didn’t seem like there was any insult intended. If anything, it seemed like a mix of surprise and pity, as if it had just realized he had some serious injury.

The kobold shook its head. “Oh no no no, this simply won’t do! Why, you don’t even have your wings!”

Ken tilted his head. “Uh, that’s because hu...” he began, before suddenly feeling something grow out from behind, accompanied by a loud ripping sound as the back of his shirt was torn apart like tissue paper. He could feel two new appendages on his back. He tried moving them experimentally, then moving them into view to find that somehow, he now had two magnificent-looking blue draconic wings. And they were shiny and smooth, just like the kobold standing before him.

Ken gave his oversized wings a couple experimental flaps as he shed what was left of his shirt, then looked down to see that the kobold’s wagging increased in pace and it was doing a floaty happy dance in place. “Ooh, yes, yes!” it said, “Very good, very good! But there’s oh so much left to do!”

“So much left to do?” Ken asked.

“Oh, yes, yes! I must help my master to his proper form!” the kobold said, gazing up cutely at him. Given how much this kobold clearly adored him and how it called him master, he had a feeling that he could tell the kobold to stop and it would do so, albeit reluctantly. But yet... he couldn’t bring himself to make that command. Partially because he didn’t want to disappoint the cute little kobold and partially because, as he realized with a blush, he was actually feeling quite eager for this. His new wings felt nice and he had a feeling he was going to really like his new form.

Taking his silence and blush as implicit approval, the kobold spread its arms, causing Ken’s torso to quickly grow, bursting his belt buckle and ripping the upper part of his pants, causing them to fall to his ankles. Ken looked down at his new, squeaky torso. Most of it was the same darkish blue as his wings, while the front of it was colored a lighter shade of blue, like his wing membrane. He rubbed his smooth new belly with his now-undersized-in-comparison hands, finding it to be quite a pleasant feeling as his blush deepened. The rubbing, of course, was accompanied by a soft squeaking.

The kobold’s tail-wagging continued. Soon, Ken felt his own tail wagging as well. He looked behind himself, seeing his new, squeaky lizard-like tail, blue with a lighter blue on the bottom matching his belly. It actually felt quite surprisingly nice, having a tail... though, he had to be careful not to knock anything out with it. Just like every other transformed part of him, it was rather large.

He looked down, both at the hyperactive and eager toy kobold and at his changing legs, watching them changing to thick squeaky blue legs from the top down. His shoes, socks, and what was left of his pants were shredded as his feet quickly grew into squeaky draconic-looking hind paws with rather unthreatening-looking squeaky claws. His arms were next, growing as they changed, then his hands grew into squeaky draconic hand-paws, with blunt squeaky claws just like his hind paws. Despite being relatively simple-looking and having a finger less, they looked like they would still function perfectly well as hands.

He then felt his neck grow larger and longer, before finally his head began to change. He reached up and felt as his hair receded and vanished, being replaced with squeaky blue. He no longer had visible ears, but instead blunt white horns curved back atop his head. The changes continued across his head, reaching his face. His eyes became better able to see in the dark as they changed into painted-on eyes, before finally his mouth and nose grew out into a squeaky blue muzzle. With that, his changes were complete. Now, the new squeaky dragon towered over the excited little kobold at 10’ size from head to hindpaws. He felt like he could just as comfortably take a bipedal or quadrupedal stance, but for now he opted to go on all fours, partially due its novelty but mostly due to how low his ceiling felt now.

He stood there for a moment, wondering what to do next, but luckily the kobold had just the idea. It walked right under the new dragon and proceeded to squeakily rub his belly with both forepaws. The new dragon happily flopped onto his side, making his belly more accessible for rubs. Indeed, the kobold was right. This was just the right form for him.

Octransfur Day 7: Helper Kobold [Pooltoy Dragon TF]

Joat

The theme for this day was Helpful. And honestly, despite the kobold having a helpful attitude and intending to be helpful with said TF, I do worry I stretched a bit for this one. Or at the very least, didn't lean as much into things as I should have. On its own, I actually really like this one. I'm just... not sure I did a great job with the prompt.

What CrizBN did is another matter, though. I mean, okay, technically the transformation wasn't helpful, but still. On a semi-related note, while I have always liked the Char- line, I REALLY wouldn't want to be one. I like going through buildings without setting them on fire by accident, and without triggering the fire alarms and sprinkler systems with my mere presence.

Being able to roast marshmallows anytime and anywhere I wish would be nice, though. Well, almost anytime and anywhere. Not while the sprinklers are running.
