Final parts of Pepsi @ Subeta.net’s commission.
VERY happy with how this came out, though I’m also very aware of how much work I need to do with water and trees still, that said, I’ve come a long away and I’m proud of the progress I’ve made.
I’d like to take on a couple more commissions in this style this year, this was done fairly cheap because I’m still getting used to this, I doubt I’d go below £300 for something of this size/scope in the future, but until I have a large audience I’m not sure how many takers I’ll have… still the option is out there. I’m really happy things conspired to lead me back into drawing dragons for a while, I used to draw them constantly but when I started to focus on real animals and things my ability to draw them faded (or rather didn’t grow at the same rate) and I was uncomfortable with them, I’m a lot happier again now and hope to only get better.
It’s fairly obvious I have a strong bias towards camouflaged creatures and love having characters in an environment of complementary colours.
Wonderful work! The image is well unified, the character in proper placement, and the environment was executed superbly. I like the range of color and textures especially! The rocks and trees have a unique stroke to them that definitely stands out to me, and your style is immediately apparent. I can't express how much I love the composition in this image, and your technique is really developed and honed. As for some feedback, separating the foreground from the middle and background a bit more to help the image have more depth couldn't hurt, and some more "weight" for the dragon might make it feel bulkier. Also, gushing water is a difficult thing to paint, especially with your style, but I think the waterfall pops out a bit more than it should. Other than that you've got some fine work here. Keep up the awesome work!
Ah the detail in this is incredible! Especially the scales! And I really love the colours in the water, its soothing c:

Gorgeous body plan, and amazing amount of details throughout the entire image! I'm a sucker for camouflaged, naturally colored critters myself . Keep up the great work!
