Fuck this image so much it took way too long despite not being anything too exciting. I just wanted to redo Dal's bike as the bike seen on his character sheet was only meant to be a stand in. Theoretically though considering Dal is literally royalty he almost certainly has multiple hoverbikes so the simpler one may in fact exist. This is just the one that appears in the story.

Anyway hoverbikes work through a made up technology in my sci fi called "weighted energy". It pushes things up but is a lot more stable than using say air or water. By using that combined with a force pushing them forward they basically glide on any surface. Deserge as a species live mostly in arid desert kinda locations so this works better than using wheels. Thing is much like any vehicle they can easily be crashed if something destabilizes the surface they're trying to use like say a deep pothole or something. So yeah they aren't magic they have limitations.

The only part of drawing this that was semi enjoyable was drawing Dal again, I haven't drawn him proper in AGES. I have decided to alter his vest from blue to red if only because another main character has a mostly blue outfit. This distinguishes the two palettes.
