Setting:
Imagine if the Rosswell Incident had actually been a saucer from another world. Now imagine if that created a butterfly effect that led to a botched Earth invasion by one group of hostile aliens which was thwarted by the space UN. Imagine that from then on humanity became a part of the intergalactic community.

That's pretty much the setting in a nutshell!

While plenty happened between 1947 to now our story takes place during the early to mid 2000s. While a lot of it takes place on Earth itself (making it function sorta as a "hub world" for the story) there's also some travel between other planetary bodies.

Synopsis:
An escaped nameless alien slave child befriends a human lady- shenanigans ensue!

... Ok it’s a bit more complex than that. The slave which would become known as Darwin was being used as a weapon designing scientist. They never really questioned their actions until they designed what would be essentially a doomsday device. Knowing something like that could kill trillions was really the figurative kick in the ass they needed to destroy the lab and flee. With quite some effort and some quick thinking Darwin came to Earth where they quickly meet up with the other titular character.

Natalie, a strong silent type but not exactly the brightest bulb, still had enough brains to realize there's no way Darwin can survive on their own. I mean they’re a tiny little shrimp that panics at every sudden loud noise... they’re not exactly the fighting type. She makes it her mission to beat the snot out of any interstellar assholes that come there trying to capture Darwin; whatever their reasons. She’s just a regular human but that won’t stand in her way!

Before the story begins they are joined by another alien of a different species named Dal and early in the story will be joined by 3 other main protagonists. The scale of the story gets larger with greater stakes as it goes on while we follow the cast through 6 years of their life.

Media:
This will be a graphic novel style webcomic. I will be attempting to update once every 2 weeks with whatever I've made. So updates may comprise of 1 page or they could be 10 pages. My health is very unpredictable so I kinda have to give myself some wiggle room.

Other info:
Defining the genre is a bit of an adventure but "Coming of Age Slice of Life Sci Fi Action series" is probably most accurate. Also don't let the cartoony style trick you! A lot of the content in the story is appropriate for any age, however, some is quite T and sometimes even M rated. I will be warning folks about disturbing content per page release for health reasons but otherwise if your call it's you let your kid read this comic.

This is a poster I made to explain my sci fi since I've been asked a few times but never really had a straight up place online to link people with a short summary.
Technical stuff this took ages because I kept being sick the last couple of weeks but finally got it done today. I figured I would make the post reflect the fact its science fiction but more retro sci fi rather than bleak dystopian stuff which makes up a lot of modern sci fi. I actually drew inspiration form some retro sci fi work I came across while doing some research.. and the opening theme of Space Dandy. So enjoy!

    The colors <3

:D I'm glad you like them! Any change I get to abuse colours like purple, magenta and cyan I will take!

    Cool!
Yeah, all this "dark" sci-fi can be fun, but there's too much of it, and it doesn't add up. Sure, not everything IRL is bright and cheery, but when we had the chance to make the next step in technology, what do we do? Shiny ipads. Bright colorful tiles! I call trend, wait 1000 years.

Thanks :3. Yeah as much as I don't mind it I kinda grew up in a time because everything got super cynical and I rather hate something that has darkness to it but its more generally upbeat and positive. I have enough sadness in my life without writing a super dark story tbh.

Agreed, I feel the same way. (then I got addicted to Cyberpunk because a friend was way into it, heh, that's what I mean by "dark" sci-fi.)

I really like how it misleadingly appears cheery at first, but is actually meant for a teenage audience or higher. Love the descrpition of the setting and synposis, by the way!

GOOD I'M GLAD ITS MISLEADING THAT WAY! Lol yeah I tend to not really censor myself so more mature material ended up in the story and i rather not remove it to make things more PG. Thanks you ^-^ I'm glad you like the whole description of it. I hope it will be good since its going to be really the first fully original story I'll have ever put on canvas!

I'm glad you did! So, will Entirety be divided into medium-size story arcs, depending on how many you need? Or will it just be one longer story?

Thank you very much for the mutual follow as well!

I will likely be slit into 5 medium size type arcs. The story is only a 6 year period because there's roughly a year break around the middle of the story while Darwin (little green alien in this image) goes through their species' puberty via metamorphosis.

          No problem :D
