"There are many different kinds of plants and mushrooms in the Wildlands, and plenty of them are poisonous. A proper herbalist knows how to differentiate between the deadly ones and the useful ones. Even plants with medicinal properties have side effects, or are unsafe to digest in large amounts... Wormwood, for all that, likes to blend them. According to them, there is no herb or mushroom that doesn't have its uses, and they're set on discovering the effects of each and every plant in their forest. Most of their days are spent searching for herbs and mixing them into beneficial (or harmful) potions.

Though they'll occasionally force some poor passersby to be a guinea pig for their new mixtures, most of Wormwood's creations go into their own stomach. Maybe they're very dedicated to their work, or maybe they find a strange sort of enjoyment in testing the limits of their body. They'll ingest anything they know won't immediately kill them, but will go farther than that if they have an antidote on hand.

While their species are naturally reistant to toxins, they are not immune; Wormwood may be resilient, but their body is showing signs of sickness. This tendency of theirs is likely to lead to their demise, sooner or later."
