Tonight I euthanized my over a decade old tarantula.
DKS is a bitch, and takes even the most gentle away from us all. She was docile as can be, a good education specimen, and never one to show her fangs.
Art by arpad a few years ago, but this is the only art I have of her.
Shelob, may you feel no more pain, nor anxiety. May you never stumble again.
You were loved more than you can know.
I wish I could have done more.

That's horrible. You have my condolences. Is dks a nervous system dysfunction, or is it chemical? The first few articles I found on it didn't really say.

The cause is unknown, anything from a pesticide infected food supply, to a virus has been theorized to be the cause. But it's a nervous system issue at the most basic.

I'm sorry for your loss. The passing of a pet is somehow, for me, harder than the passing of a person because you often don't have a big circle of other people who loved your loved one to mourn with you.

Wow this piece is wonderful. I'm glad you have this art of her. I am so sorry for your loss. I have lost two spider girls in my life. I love them dearly.
