HELP ME: Tiefling druid by BlueNire

HELP ME: Tiefling druid

BlueNire

So- This is what I’ve been working on lately!
Solace, my tiefling druid :D

I started making her because I couldn’t find any tieling miniatures that I liked :(
(They all look like succubi-things. Too much sexy lol. I know, I'm weird. )

I would love an opinion!

Should I leave her nude? (because I spent a damned long time on musculature) or put gear on (because....as a character she'd never just walk around naked.)?

Oh yeah! Also, she’s only about 4.25inches tall

You could make her clothes as an item that can be removed, as fabric or small leather pieces.

Hmmmm ::thinking:: the only issue I have with trying that is that she is REALLY small and her clothes woudl have to be tinier? and I'm not sure I could do it haha

    Hell are you talented! Astonishing!
I'd leave her naked and maybe do a cast of her, so that you colud do a clothed and geared version too. That'd be expensive though and maybe too scary if you haven't done it before. Otherwise I'd say the same as CeLdragon, make teenie tiny little clothes for her afterwards :D
Would be a shame to loose all that detail under more clay though!

WHOA THANK YOU SO MUCH! wow!! ::bows repeatedly::
oh gosh that's a great idea!!! Hmm.....I don't know anything about casting though hmmm.... I don't know, I'm honestly scared that I'll mess up! haha
Gosh, I can try to make tiny clothes, it'll be tricky! I was struggling with how tiny she is already but- most people are suggesting to keep her without clothes! So I think that's that I'm going to do :)

I could always find a fig-leaf sticker or something haha
      Thank you for your suggestion!

How cool! :D I'd say give her clothes. After all, if you went to this much effort to make yourself a character accurate miniature, you might as well go all the way and make her completely character accurate and give her clothes if she'd wouldn't walk around nude. It's a shame to cover up the amazing work you've already done, true, but she'll look amazing clothed, too. :D

THANK YOU!! so much!! :D See, I wanted to try to do this- but I'll be honest with you- it was a struggle for me to even do what I have there? (so tiny!)
I'm not even sure I could render clothes that small haha hmm... Thank you thank you again for your kind and wonderful words!

I can't think of any material that will drape well on that small a scale. Some armor maybe, a linothorax and greaves for instance?

!! THIS!!! This this- yes you're right- I was struggling to think of a material that would drape this small and couldn't think of any.
I think you're right, I could try making some little greaves and pauldrons....hmm...I think that may be the best bet- at least for it to look alright.

I gotta say, I find stuff like this amazing. Like how do you sculpt that well at such a teeny size? Also, out of curiosity, what do you use to sculpt with?
Lastly, to answer the question, I like Reisfuchs idea of maybe getting a cast done so that you could make multiples. Hell, you could probably do custom minis for people, I know that I'd love to get some made of my various Pathfinder characters.

::bows deeply:: THANK YOU THANK YOU LOKILOVER! <3<3<3 gosh thank you haha
How it do!: Uhm... Honestly? I don't know. Okay that's a terrible answer.. I have some basic clay-tools? Like these- http://images.utrechtart.com/products/optionLarge/Richeson/62049.png
But I only have like 4 of those haha (the needle one and the little triangle blade are the ones I used the most. I also used random stuff- like my wacolm-pen (I know that's bad!) and I had some saudering-wire I used for the armature.

I really need to get better tools at some point, or at least get the set in that picture above- but honestly you can use ANYTHING around the house that you don't mind getting sculpey-grease on it (which washes off).

Also, I'm not really confident enough to make custom miniatures- as flattered as I am that you even recommended it!! haha! <3
