I want to make perfectly clear here, to anyone who DOES NOT know who the fairy artist Amy Brown is, this is one of her fairies. I DID NOT draw this lovely fairy, though I CAN draw!

In wood burning it is typical to use images as patterns. I was just starting to work with wood burning, this image was my 5th wood burning which I worked on-and-off for about a month and a half. Not because it takes that long, but because I didn't have that much free time to really devote to sitting down and burning. Wood burning is a very time consuming art!!!

I chose this image because it is by far my most favorite image Amy Brown has done. I love the flows of the dress and her hair, and just the overall composition itself. I started burning this intending to add color, but when i was finished I realized that it would take away the effect that I had managed to create with just the wood burning tools and chose to just add a few coats of varnish to really give the wood a little color.

Once again, This is a wood burning, the fairy was done by the well known artist Amy Brown.
