A couple of pages depicting my other half's longstanding naga character Sulroth that I did over the past two days in between some commission stuff. Those people that have watched me for a long time might recognize him! I've found that doing personal projects alongside the professional ones actually makes me more productive instead of less so. Yes, I'm multitasking art! A year or so ago I don't think I'd ever be able to manage something like that, but I can now.
Drew him in various poses, BECAUSE SNAKE-MEN ARE THE COOLEST EVER. Really, I can't get enough of drawing nagas and snakes and things but I don't do them often enough. :x I also used absolutely no references this time around, since I wanted to see just how well I could make him look as-is. The colored sketch on the left also let me try out my new colorless blender pencil; it makes (relatively) flat color with colored pencil really well. Can't wait to use it on future pieces. The right portrait was me once again dabbling in my watercolor pencils. I do have fun with the medium but I've only ever toed the line instead of diving right in and getting more serious with them, which I really need to do...
Done with graphite, Prismacolor watercolor pencils and colorless blender on Aquabee heavy sketch paper. Character belongs to

I just can't get over how gorgeous you draw him, I think he's my favorite reptilian creature.
