This has been one of my more ambitious solo musical projects to date, and it was inspired by the amazing creations of my friends at ClockworkCreature. I've been a big fan of their work for years, and have long wanted to compose a theme of sorts for them! I thought it fitting to make this song a blend of traditional worldly sounds mixed with some modern, mechanical elements. It can perhaps be described as a sort of wind-up Celtic heavy metal. ;)
This tune features a variety of instrumentation, with the lead melody played on my bamboo folk flute (which was a gift from Qarrezel of Clockwork Creature fame), along with my harmony drone Native American style flute. It also includes a bit of harmonica for ambience, my bodhrán for the rhythm, and a rim-blown "quenajave" flute (altered & distorted) to sit in for electric guitar. There are also a few additional sound effects that were taken from various free online sound libraries.

Thank you so much for this, it's really incredible of you to dedicate a piece of work like this to us! And the quenajave sound might just be the coolest thing ever. I would absolutely swear there was an electric guitar in this song.-
It's only cool because you are cool, and cool things inspire other cool things to be cool! XD Your enjoyment of this song means a lot to me. I certainly had fun putting it together! :)

Love how it starts with a mechanical "heartbeat" and then the standard thump-thump of a regular heartbeat. Awesome atmospherics!
