Everything seemed to be going according to plan, now that Mikhail had got to know his love Belle, or as he and her friends called her, Sharp. The boost he'd needed in his life had initially been to serve the country he'd come to address as home since moving there eighteen years before, but when he'd met her, he realized from the moment he laid eyes on her that his life had changed forever. No matter how he'd at first tried to escape it, he knew that he had fallen completely in love with the mysterious skunk he had trained alongside. But yet he'd been far too shy to say anything except a few tiny utterances. Nothing could make him open out, and nothing could erase the constant thoughts of their romance from his mind. And when they were apart, he found himself aching for her, desperate for her presence.

His wish was to come true during a fateful flight to another military base outside their country, when he and his division had been deployed to Crez. Soon he found that she loved him back just as deeply as he'd adored her, and his heart had fluttered within him. They got chatting to each other, and before they realized it, they were speaking as eloquently as two creatures who had known each other their whole lives. As time passed, they became closer and closer, and they rarely left each other's arms as the months passed. From date to date, from cuddle to cuddle, from snuggle to snuggle, they were connected via a love that they wanted for the remainder of their days.

But Mikhail was to be met with a surprise he hadn't thought to expect when he returned home that night. He hadn't been able to get hold of Belle in the final hour of his shift - her mobile phone had always gone straight to her answering machine. But rather than worrying, he had a feeling that there was something she'd had planned, but there was no clue as to what. His mind focused on it the whole time, he drove home with the radio blaring. Night had already fallen, but if Belle had something planned for him, the night would only make it more exciting.

His parents and his sisters were out again, but yet the lights were on. And then he noticed Sharp's car in his driveway - this would not be something he'd want to miss. When he entered, shock overtook him momentarily, but with another look, a smile crossed his face. The living room had been cleared up, and in front of the mahogany unit next to the television was Belle dusting down the turtle ornaments, complete with a black and white uniform he knew to be only one thing - a French maid's uniform, something which he had always found himself strongly attracted to.

"Hey Mickey," she cooed, holding up the feather duster, "just thought I'd do a little...dusting up for the skunkie I love."

"Now, Sharpie," he crooned, "you've done a great job on this place."

"Hm?" she smirked, approaching him with a smirk.

"And now," he sighed, Belle chuckling as he playfully slapped her tail with his, "it's time for your...pay slip. But first...we eat, huh?"

"Oh, okay." she smiled, coiling her tail around his as she pulled him into a hug. "Uh, whose turn is it this time?"

"You know," said Mikhail, "I think it's mine. But...maybe we both could do it."

"Ooh, I can't wait!" beamed Sharp, beginning to loosen her uniform. But Mikhail's eyes did not leave her uniform. It was as though one of his deepest dreams was unfolding right before him.

"No no," he purred, "leave it on." And with that, they shared a giggle as they walked into the kitchen.
