Can't Favorite Stuff If A User Has Ignored You? by EbonyChimera

That kind of stinks, but oh well. At least I can still download the picture.

You´ve also been ignored? Also fo unknown reasons?

    • Link

Yeah, but it doesn't matter, I can still see the art. lol

      • Link

lol, I´ve already been watched and ignored by the same person at the same time. This have to be a bug.

  • Link

Yup. It's kinda silly, but it's standard fare for art sites.

i had an instance where someone who didn't even know me and vice verse blocked me, happened upon their art to fav a piece and had that same issue. XD wound up just faving it on their DA or FA instead (kinda sucked for them cuz they're less active over there too...)

Yeah. Unfortunately, I've heard of people be harassed by constant faving and unfaving of artwork by blocked individuals so I'm not surprised they have that on here.

    • Link

That's understandable. I can see why they would implement that.

  • Link

    Wow, well how rude

  • Link

I never understood the reasoning behind that. :/
I'd let them fav it, but not let the artist get the notification of it. Everyone wins.

only ever has happened to me once, the person tbh in the long run is not worth it even if they are good at art. but yeah snag dem pictures for sure!

  • Link

Happened to me too randomly. Must be some form of invisible drama. :V

  • Link

I've had quite a few people do that to me. I have no idea why. Back in the days when I thanked every person for faving my art there were some folks who would fave my works, but would then block me so I couldn't thank them for it.

Wow, what a level-headed response to a small slight. I remember not too long ago an artist put up a giant diatribe about how incredibly unfair and short-sighted it was that they couldn't do this. Something about it messing up their "ordering" of the pictures and some weird slippery-slope argument to "artists curating their own user pages." The journal's comment section was PACKED with the most viscous debates and there was even something called "block culture" being thrown around XD

S'nice to not everyone in this place is a mess of overreacting drama.
