As a trans person I'd just like to ring the bell an extra time for today's Trans Day of Visibility. No selfies for sites like these, but I figure the point is more being able to state "I'm here, regardless" anyway.

I try to be fairly open about my trans identity, and answer questions people may have about that identity, my transition course, and related things. I have limits, but on the whole I'm open to talking and fielding questions less knowledgeable people may have about this sort of stuff.

But that aside, happy TDOV!

  It's unfortunate how understandable that is. :/ I generally have good people around me and when shit does come up I can usually field it, but I still get nervous posting things like this.

I have a few trans friends on facebook who I regularly talk to. Not about their identity, that's just a thing that's there as part of them.

If it ever happens to come up, are there any pronouns you prefer?

  Myself? I like most folks using they/them for me! Some folks I'm better acquainted use he/him for me which is fine too, but they/them is my more public set.
