Huh, okay.... by Iridium

Well, since my concepts of various levels of content are apparently no where near what this site uses, from now on everything I post will either be General, which will be any pictures of my 40k or Dropzone Commander models (excluding of course any Slaaneshi aligned daemons) or Mature (Explicit) 18+, which will be pretty much everything else. I have no idea what the difference is functionally of having a two levels of Adult content on a Furry art site, but hey, I'm not on the management here.

The site admins changed a lot of my submission ratings overnight. It was nice that they told me. And nice that they pointed me to their definition of the levels. Apologies if this means you can't see much of my stuff any more.

Huh, okay....

Yeah I had one of mine re named at least they told me in a nice way and explained it. Not that I get the difference but ok. Unlike FA which just does shit and goes we are admin we do whatever the fuck we want suck up our shady decision making process.

Was just doing a bit of journal browsing and saw this one, and I figured it was worth responding to this point:

I have no idea what the difference is functionally of having a two levels of Adult content on a Furry art site

A major reason for the two 18+ ratings is so that things like artistic nudes and violence can be split out from sexually explicit content. The change to 4 ratings took place before my time, but I believe it was in response to user feedback. It's also worth noting that we don't exclusively cater to a furry audience.

As always, feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns about this stuff and we'll be happy to help.

I'm also not sure photos of models are allowed, while you might have built and painted them yourself, they're still store bought?

I did not see anything in the photography section of the rules concerning pictures of models, and I did not see any specific rules for physical, real world models in the Community Guidelines. Am I missing something? If I have to take them down, I will.

        • Must not be for the purpose of simply showing yourself, something that you own, or something you have stumbled across unless effort has been taken to render the subject in an artistic or educational manner.

well Iridium is rendering tanks obviously n.n i think the point of that rule is so people dont just post selfies and cute cat pictures

I think the artistic/educational demand on the way the photo is taken though. Like by using a backdrop and proper lighting etc.

I would hope the time and energy (which was considerable) I expended in putting the models together (which in many cases they do not have one set way to be built) and in painting them (and they definitely do not have a set paint scheme) would qualify as "effort has been taken to render the subject in an artistic ...manner."
