Some people can't afford to wait for Weasyl to get active. They need the income that their watcher base on FA provides. But I know several of the people I watch only use FA as a business account, and post all their personal work and sales on Weasyl.

I continue to use FA, IB, and Weasyl to increase my net of business. In fact, the most lucrative business I just got was from here.

The only reason I went back to FA is I need subscribers for my show and more people use FA than Weasyl. The metaphor I like to use is Fa is like heroin. People know it's bad for them, but they can't stop using it because they're addicted. I didn't even go to FAU, as a form a protest.

As a watcher, I never left, I simply go to wherever the artists I like are, and FA is still densely populated. I now know some people whose work is FA, sofurry, Weasyl, or DA-exclusive. I do wish FA would get overhauled or just abandoned if for no other reason than how compressed the images are compared to this site, plus slow server response. It's getting increasingly pathetic as technology marches on.

I still use Weasyl over FA though I have noticed it being less active here.
My inactivity the last two weeks has been a ton of drama in my private life so I didn't have time or motivation to check messages on art sites.
