So I got suspended from FA, looking at really porting to here now. by Shane_Rufus
Just outta curiosity, is there a smoother process than to simply one-by-one everything? I'll do that over the weekend, but boy it's a PITA. We have almost 60 stories and I've uploaded, like... 10 so far. :|
The tl;dr of the suspension was I was smacking Dragoneer around in the recent journal about their asking for "volunteers" for the website and he got pissy. It's just a 3-day but I'm annoyed enough to take Weasyl seriously finally.
So I got suspended from FA, looking at really porting to here now.

If it was that important I'd personally have just paid someone to do it.
However as it's CSS and layout (as opposed to something more demanding and painstaking like pHp or far-out functionality) he really could've just googled 'How I CSS?' Even reading the journal I could feel this bootheel of disregard pressing on my face. It's like a Circus with a really bad staff retention rate. -
Wow, I can't believe he suspended you for a personal opinion. Then again I take that back, I can so believe it with the way that site is run. I wish every one would come to weasyl or something.

Well that's the goal now, LOL. I just don't want to individually upload 50 stories plus everything else and spam the front page.

Weasyl only displays your three most recent submissions on the front page.
It's something they implemented to avoid people spamming things that don't really met the ToS.-
That's the one of my fav features of this site to. doesn't it also give the option not to spam the front page via check box as well ?

I don't think so, but I think it works better if you pace yourself and upload three submissions a day. I think it gets artist's more exposure if they take more time. I also really like the flexible tagging system. I've seen people write up Journals just to show what tags they use, so it has this crowd-sourcing aspect to it, that's more of an opt-in and voluntary than what e621 is.

Hm. That's not a bad idea either. Give some folks time to absorb what's getting uploaded.

Can't help you with individual uploads, but if you're worried about spamming the front page/your followers, you can upload your stories and other submissions to their own folder(s), and change the folder settings so that your followers won't be notified if you upload to it. And as others have mentioned, a max of three of your pieces will be displayed on the front page at any time.

FA is shit and has been for a long, long time.
What I suggest (and will probably start doing myself) is simply posting a notification image and link to the new content HERE.
Weasyl is better in pretty much every fucking way. The only issue is that there doesn't seem to be much community here, because it's all over THERE and people are too goddamned lazy to move. Nobody likes it, it sucks anus, but that's where everyone is so that's where everyone goes. It's the myspace/facebook of furry. It's shit and needs to die. It'll happen eventually. It'll implode on itself. I would gladly accelerate the process if need be. -
Dragoneer is a fucking joke. I really wish more people were more willing to be here instead.
Weasyl literally has everything FA has promised in the last 5 years or so but never delivered. Also I really like the mod/admin team here. They actually seem competent and mindful of the community.Also the filtering system is fantastic. It's nice to not be forced to see the creepy fetishes I don't like.

Also Weasyl has been DDoS'd once and they solved it so much faster than FA ever has. Case you haven't noticed, it hasn't exactly happened at all since that one incident.
