Everybody loves getting comments. Communication is what makes a community flourish! Comments can begin friendships and business opportunities!
Everyone is arriving and excited to start watching new artists and to put their work out there for eyes who might not have had the chance to see it before (thank you nifty tag system!) so I thought, wouldn't it be nice if everybody tried to leave at least five comments a day on something around the site?
Things you can comment on:
- Artwork
- Writing
- Music
- Shout Pages (Why not leave somebody a nice comment on their work instead of thanking them for the fav or watch they just gave you? It doesn't have to be a beautifully written paragraph, just something nice for them to come home to!)
- Journal Entries
For the last month or so I've been challenging myself to make at least one comment per day on something here on Weasyl, but I think five comments daily is just as doable!

Oh yeah, definitely. I'm in the same boat with that, haha!
I actually discovered HabitRPG (habitrpg.com) a few weeks ago, and I added "Leave one comment" as one of my dailies. It's weirdly effective at getting me to get stuff done! :D

I'm not really active on DA and FA when it comes to comments but when I joined Weasyl I actually started writing comments :D
Don't know where this encouragement comes from, I'm really shy :c Probably because everyone is new here :D-
Yeah, I think it's the idea of starting new and helping to build up the community from scratch that's got everyone really enthusiastic. At least, I know that's what it is for me. c: Usually I'm a pretty shy person and it's hard to make comments, but here on Weasyl it hasn't been so hard.

Yup, its true comments are a great way of creating networks, though I'm not on everday I make it a point to try and leave a comment whenever I fav somthing or find something interesting.

I love that this is a thing! <3 I don't think I can uphold five a day; I don't even get to check Weasyl at all every day, let alone stay here long enough to comment on anything. But when I get some time of and I am here, I have been trying to urge myself to at least comment more! Again, I'm probably not good enough at this to stick to a hard per-day minimum or anything like that, but ... even just going in with the general mindset of "comment more" is at least something!

Hey, every little bit makes a difference. c: When I first joined FA I did something similar to this, just to get myself in the habit of browsing new art and leaving comments. The five-comments-a-day goal really just helps me remember to check Weasyl daily.

I've definitely been trying to comment more, because I'm very excited about this place and I really would love for a community to take off and flourish. Every little bit helps, I suppose!
